About Re-Specs

Reframing eye care for those in need

Founded in 2012, Re-Specs Frames is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing affordable eyewear for Israelis in need. This includes free sight tests performed by our team of qualified optometrists & subsidized glasses for the underprivileged at our wheelchair-accessible Ra'anana Eye Clinic in the heart of Israel. As the only nationwide organization dedicated to providing eyeglasses to vulnerable populations from across the length & breadth of the country, we serve low-income families, disadvantaged/abused women, at-risk kids & teens, people with disabilities, senior citizens, Holocaust survivors, terror victims, new olim suffering financial difficulties, single-parent families, lone soldiers, as well as soldiers and evacuees in need.

Your donation helps support our operations in a direct way. With your generosity, we can continue to offer those living in vulnerable circumstances – young and old – an affordable, environmentally-friendly option that allows them to obtain vision testing and corrective eyewear while maintaining their self-respect.

Our volunteers play a crucial role in ensuring the fulfillment of our mission. We are looking for help with:

Conducting eye tests by qualified optometrists
Marketing and social media (remote)
Sorting, cleaning, and refurbishing frames (on-site)

We have numerous drop-off points across Israel where you can bring your donation.

New immigrant facing financial difficulties

Ill, disabled, or having special needs

On govt. income support or financial assistance

Low-income individual earning up to 2,600 NIS

Single-parent family
